Countertop Transformations Coating - cracked laminate counters

For Formica or laminate countertops that have cracks or thin gaps, a laminate filler or wood filler can be purchased and used to fill in these areas prior to painting. Fill the crack and allow to dry thoroughly, according to manufacturer's directions, before sanding smooth and scuff sanding the rest of the countertop surface. Make sure that all sanding dust is cleaned from the surface and that it is completely dry before painting.
