Outgassing

Blisters or bubbles that form in a coating, typically seen over porous concrete floors.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

High solids coatings applied either too heavily
Coating applied during periods of rising temperatures on porous surfaces, such as bare concrete

SOLUTION

While these bubbles will not dissipate on their own, the coating can be fixed by applying another coat.
To recoat the floor, scuff sand first with 60-80 grit sandpaper or grind smooth with a concrete grinder. This will smooth out the bubbles and allow for the second coat to be put on.
After sanding/grinding, vacuum up all dust and then wipe down the floor with a solvent (ie. MEK, Acetone).
Once the solvent has evaporated, you can recoat the surface.
