SPOT PRIMING - B-I-N Advanced is excellent for use in spot priming exterior surfaces. B-I-N Advanced effectively seals knots and sap streaks. Note: Spot prime only under high hiding paints or prime the entire surface with Zinsser® Bulls Eye 1-2-3® Water-Base Primer after spot priming.

SEALING - B-I-N Advanced penetrates and seals porous surfaces and dries to a smooth finish with excellent enamel holdout. It can be used as an effective primer to improve coverage and sheen consistency of the finish coat.

STAIN BLOCKING - B-I-N Advanced will effectively blocks stains from water, nicotine, grease, oil, soot, rust, mildew, tannin, crayon and lipstick. It also provides an excellent odour barrier to block odours from fire damage, smoke, cigar & cigarettes, pet urine, and fireplaces.

APPEARANCE - B-I-N Advanced is white but may be tinted to off- white and pastel shades by adding no more than 60 mL (2 oz.) universal colourant per 3.78L (gallon) to improve the hiding power of the topcoat.

SURFACE PREPARATION - Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, dirt, excessive chalky material, grime, grease, oil, wax, mildew, wallpaper, adhesive or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion. If unsure, wash surface with an appropriate cleaning solution or solvent and rinse thoroughly. Remove any peeling and/or unsound coatings. Sand any remaining paint film edges smooth. When priming over stained areas, first attempt to remove as much of the stain as possible by washing, sanding, scraping, etc. Allow surface to dry completely before priming.

LIMITATIONS - B-I-N Advanced is not recommended for full service use on exterior applications, for excessively humid interior areas or surfaces subject for immersion or prolonged contact with water. Do not box or intermix B-I-N Advanced with other oil-base or water-base products.

APPLICATION - Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures are between 10-32ºC (50-90ºF) and the relative humidity is less than 85%. Thoroughly mix or shake to ensure any settled pigment is re- dispersed before using.

If thinning is required, add no more than 295 mL (10 oz.) water per 3.78L (gallon).

In most cases only one coat is necessary to prime most surfaces. If excessive absorption occurs over very porous substrates a second coat may be necessary.

For best results, prime entire surface before painting.

Apply with a high quality brush, 3/8” nap roller, or airless sprayer. Follow manufacturer's instructions when using spray equipment.

Airless spraying - use a 0.015-0.017" tip at 1700-2200 psi. Provide adequate ventilation at all times.

DRY & RECOAT TIMES - Dry and recoat times are based on 21°C (70°F) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures.

Dries to the touch in 25 minutes and can be recoated in 45 - 60 minutes. It is fully cured in 7 days.

For knots and stain blocking, allow 2 hours to dry.

When sealing water stains, some stain may appear in the primer film as it dries. The stain is locked and will not bleed into the topcoat.

CLEAN-UP - Clean up spills and paint drips with warm water and liquid detergent. Wipe up splatters before they dry. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s directions to clean spray equipment.

COVERAGE - Approx. 37m2 (400 sq. ft.) per 3.78L (gallon). May vary with application method and surface porosity.

LIMITATIONS - Not recommended for full surface application on exterior substrates, for excessively humid interior areas or surfaces subject to immersion or prolonged contact with water. Not recommended under wallcoverings. KEEP FROM FREEZING.
